Dr. Kimberly Point du Jour was born in the Bronx, NY but raised in northeast Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. She attended medical school at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University in New York City where she attained MD and PhD degrees and performed research on the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration. Returning to the south, she completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She continued at Emory for an additional year receiving specialty training in cytopathology at both Grady Memorial as well as Emory University hospitals.
Dr. Point du Jour’s professional interests include cytopathology, particularly fine needle aspiration of the thyroid, pancreas, and genitourinary tract, in addition to general anatomic pathology.
